What is a Refrigerator Trim Kit?

A refrigerator trim kit is a set of decorative metal trim panels which are installed around a refrigerator to give it a built-in look. All of our refrigerator trim kits are high quality and DIY friendly. They can be used when building or remodeling a new kitchen as well as customized to fit existing cabinets.

Will your trim kit match my refrigerator?

Our kit is designed to match most all “bright” stainless steel refrigerators. Although there are slight variations in stainless shades, we have found that since the trim kit has a small gap of about ¼” between the kit and the refrigerator, any difference after installed is imperceptible. We currently cannot match some of the darker stainless steel refrigerators like those made by LG or Samsung, but have had a few customers apply a product such as Duplicolor Metalcast or Duplicolor Shadow Chrome to change the color of the kit so it matches the darker stainless. You can always order a free sample to ensure the color and quality meet your expectations.

How hard is it to install my trim kit? How long will it take?

Installation varies by kit, but at most takes 15 minutes and only requires a few basic tools. Each order is accompanied by a detailed instruction video and written instructions. The kit is DIY friendly or can be installed by a handyman, carpenter, or general contractor.

Is there a refrigerator you'd recommend to best achieve a built-in look?

Since new refrigerators are being released regularly, we are hesitant to publish specific recommendations. Generally speaking, we have found that most refrigerators with “bright” stainless steel and square edges/corners achieve the built-in look quite effectively.
